It w as easily accessible to underground stations, nice area to walk around of an evening as well as plenty of good restaurants to choose from. Very near Westcliff shopping centre if interested in designer shopping
Shared toilet and no lift or offer of help with cases particularly as I was on the top floor

location is good near to the Westfield shopping centre and white city bus station
I stayed there for 4 nights. the towels have were not changed at all for the first 3 nights and they changed them just when I asked. the room itself is not clean very well where after I leaved the room in the morning and came back in the night we found that carpet and the shower have not be cleaned for the last 3 nights. Comparing the price to the room quality and the hotel service, it can be considered expensive

Very basic facilities, but the bed sheets were clean and breakfast a pleasant surprise (expected just tea & toast but had eggs & beans).
The shower & toilet facilities weren't clean.

Staff were quite friendly and helpful.
The hotel was quite noisy. I could easily hear people using stairs and the waste water pipes seemed to be passing through or close to my room and were very noisy. I needed earplugs to sleep.

Rex Hotel itself isnt amazing, but next door is Pearl hotel, owned by the same people, and Pearl Hotel has had a brilliant revamp. Very bright modern and clean. Flatscreen tv on the wall. Good breakfast with fresh eggs. Lets hope that Rex Hotel gets improved soon too.
Its not amazing but also it is clean and tidy, so not much to complain about!

Staff were pleasant and the room was very clean. We didn't have time for breakfast but it smelled great!
The double room was very small and not good for 2 people. While I didn't mind the shared bathroom, it was on a different floor in a different part of the hotel.
